Congratulations to the Rockford Speech Team on a great first meet on Thursday, February 4th in Annandale. We have many first-year Speech participants (high school and middle school students) along with a few experienced members. Their performances at this first meet promise an exciting year ahead. Those who received recognition include: Elise Higgins (Best in Site - Drama) and Maddie Binsfeld (Best in Site - Extemporaneous Reading). David Jude and Amanda Shipley received AAB gold ribbons; Katelyn Hawley, Christian Holland and Bella Mintz received an AAB pink ribbons; and Kaylyn Wright received a white ribbon. Way to go! Jazz Dance Team headed for State...
Congratulations to our Rockford Jazz Dance team for qualifying for State!

The Rockets secured their spot after competing last Saturday at the Mound-Westonka Section 3AA dance competition. They will next be competing on Friday, February 12th, at the Target Center among the top 12 AA teams from across the state. Congratulations to the following Varsity Jazz dancers: Lindsey Condon, Kaylin Gruber, Trystin Gruber, Danielle Hagen-Johnson, Torrey Hagen-Johnson, Leiana Jensen, Rileigh Martin, Anni McMillen, Emma Skeie, Sadie Skeie, and Sam Vraspir. The team is coached by Heather Holasek, Sapphire Spiralke, and Amy Gunderson. The team manager is Lizzy Shusta.
ROCKFORD SPRING TRAP SHOOTING TEAM
We are at the time of year to register our Rockford team online for the spring trap shooting season with the league. We have until March 15th to complete registration, but we want to get an early start on it.
It is open to males and females that are in 7th grade and above. The participant must have a Firearms Safety Certificate number to register.

Rockford AAA Nominees
Congratulations to Payton Palmer and Jimmy Monssen for being the Rockford School District's subsection 17 nominees for the AAA Award!
The purpose of the AAA Award is to recognize and honor high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the fine arts.
After last night's banquet, Payton was selected to represent subsection 17 in region 5A's next round of judging which will be held in St. Cloud on February 3, 2016.
